Subject: Payment Refund Inquiry for Reservation HA-J06Y5K: Jul 16 through Aug 6 - Vrbo #[redacted] Hello, I wanted to bring to your attention that the reservation detailed below had to be canceled by the owner due to circumstances beyond our control. We are completely understanding of this situation. However, I must highlight that we had made an initial Euro payment back in January, and considering the fluctuation in the Euro/Dollar exchange rate since then, we unfortunately stand at a loss of around 40 Euro on the refund. I kindly request if there could be a way for Vrbo to address this matter. Is there a possibility for Vrbo to compensate us for this currency exchange discrepancy? Thank you for your understanding. I made a reservation on May 10th for HA-PWLQLQ property #[redacted]a for [redacted].11€. My surprise was when, after 15 minutes, I received an email stating an additional charge of [redacted].31€. I find it unusual that after booking, they would add an extra charge. I am not sure if there was a mistake on the website or another issue, but in any case, the extra charge should be directed at the web developer, the site owner, or someone else, not the customer who booked under certain conditions. I hope for a resolution. Good day.

On April 9, [redacted], I made a booking on VRBO for a family gathering but had to cancel due to my mother's medical condition. Despite paying in full for four nights and attempting to cancel on April 24 with booking number ORB[redacted], the host, Tracy Whitmore of Wailea Ekahi in Hawaii, refused to refund me. I believe the cancellation policy should consider exceptional circumstances like this. I paid $2,[redacted].53 on April 23 for a stay on May 18-22, [redacted], within the 60-day window, thinking there should be flexibility for unforeseen events. Tracy rejected my appeal, unreasonably keeping the full amount. It seems unfair to penalize paying upfront, especially given the situation with my mother's health. VRBO should monitor hosts' policies more closely. I am seeking advice on how to recover my funds or explore legal actions against this unsympathetic behavior.

Dear Host, I am writing to express my feedback regarding our recent stay at your Hill City property. While we enjoyed the spaciousness and the provision of body wash and shampoo in the showers, we were ultimately disappointed by several aspects of our experience at Madison Lodge. Firstly, the discrepancy between the quoted price of $[redacted] per night and the actual charge of $[redacted] was concerning. Additionally, the $[redacted] cleaning fee seemed excessive considering the state of the property upon our arrival, with leftover items in the fridge, dirty dishes, and personal belongings left in common areas. Furthermore, we encountered issues with lighting, as well as the unusable TV due to lack of channel subscriptions and outdated technology. Despite reaching out to Bridget, the property manager, for assistance, we were unable to resolve these issues. In light of these concerns, we kindly request a refund of the cleaning fee and the overcharge, as well as a compensation of $[redacted] per night for the inconveniences faced during our stay. I have been attempting to contact our Representative regarding our rental property at [redacted] Switzer Road in Sanger, Texas without success. The property was previously under Mayes Holding Company LLC, where Chris Mayes was involved. We have since changed the name to Labrea Holdings LLC, although the Federal ID number remained the same. We updated our bank account details and have submitted all necessary paperwork multiple times. However, we have not received any funds for rentals this year. While Mr. Mayes is currently unavailable, I handle all his accounting needs. It is crucial that we resolve this matter promptly and have the funds transferred to our new account. Property Manager, Peyton Juarez, has also been liaising with your team regarding this unresolved issue.

I am having ongoing issues accessing my account. Whenever I attempt to log in, I am redirected to a page discussing a security key. Clicking on "learn more" results in an error message prompting me to "try again later." Despite assurances from customer service representatives, the problem persists, preventing me from accessing my account. This issue has not yet been resolved despite multiple attempts to address it with AirBnB.

I mistakenly used my old email address when booking my rental, but when updating my profile, I used my new email address. Unfortunately, now the site doesn't recognize my rental booking. I have been unsuccessful in changing the email addresses on either my profile or the rental details. I urgently require assistance with this matter. Despite receiving numerous six-digit codes, none of them seem to work. I am seeking help from a support representative to resolve this issue promptly. We made a reservation and paid over 1,[redacted] EUR on 2.6.23 for accommodation in Paris at Villamagnysolar 3 near Disneyland Paris for 7 people, 2 adults, and 5 children. When we arrived, David informed us he had stopped working with Vrbo-Expedia and asked us to leave. Feeling stranded, we reached out to Expedia for assistance, but they were unable to provide immediate help, promising a refund within 5 days. To resolve the situation that night, we had to ask friends to send money for a new hotel priced at 2,[redacted] EUR. Now we are facing blame from David and Vrbo, but we were never informed the property was unavailable despite our payment. We are left questioning the professionalism and customer service in this situation.

I have encountered an issue with a duplicate listing on VRBO with inaccurate information. I offer a double room, and all bookings except for one received a different description of the property, being listed as a whole villa. Customers have mentioned booking through Abritel, which, I believe, is connected to VRBO under the parent company EXPEDIA. As a result, I have lost a booking, and the traveler has missed out on a holiday. I am puzzled as to how there can be two different listings for the same property. I suspect the villa listing might have been an old one that I had years ago. Getting in touch with VRBO has been challenging, and this experience has made me hesitant to use Expedia in the future. I am considering reaching out to the Consumer Office for assistance. Frustration is an understatement at this point due to the inability to speak with anyone regarding this matter.

I attempted to book a property on VRBO, submitted my dates, provided my credit card information, and received confirmation that my booking request was sent to the owner. The owner then asked personal questions about my visit's purpose and my travel companion. After disclosing we were attending a wedding, the booking was canceled within minutes. Upon inquiring, I was informed by the owner that VRBO canceled the reservation due to non-payment within 3 days. I suspect the cancellation was discriminatory as I am queer. I am frustrated and believe VRBO should address this behavior by the homeowner. I urge VRBO to take action, whether through reprimand, review, or training for the homeowner to prevent such discrimination in the future. The situation is unacceptable and the lack of response from VRBO is disappointing.

Reservation ID: HA-6H9MB9 Booking Number: [redacted]VB I made the reservation a few weeks ago, paid in full, and was all set to go. However, due to the natural disaster, fires, road closures, poor air quality, and the state of emergency in the area, I don't think we can proceed with the trip. I have tried to contact the host, but have not received any response. I would like to cancel this trip and have the amount credited for a future booking, possibly to Whistler where there seems to be availability. Please respond to me at your earliest convenience. Hello, I am reaching out regarding a booking made by my girlfriend Katie Ton on VRBO. After making the reservation, the host contacted her requesting an additional [redacted] Euros in cash, which goes against VRBO policies. VRBO has been unhelpful in providing a refund, which is disappointing. I believe VRBO should take more action to prevent such fraudulent activity and uphold their policies. Katie deserves a full refund along with compensation for the time she has spent trying to resolve this issue. I also suggest that the property owner involved be removed from VRBO. Hello, I made a reservation, the deposit amount was deducted, the reservation was accepted, then an hour later it was canceled without any explanation, and I can't reach VRBO who is not responding. The owner is also not responding. My money is blocked for 15 days which is preventing me from looking elsewhere. I want to file a complaint and involve my legal protection. How can I write to VRBO?
