I am writing to share a concerning incident that occurred at the Petco store in Bountiful on Saturday. I observed an employee named Garrett behaving inappropriately towards a Doordash driver who was trying to pick up an order. Despite the driver showing proof of the order on his phone, Garrett refused to allow him to take the order, making derogatory remarks about his English proficiency. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also xenophobic and condescending. While I regret not speaking up at the time, I believe it's important to address this issue to prevent similar incidents in the future. It may be beneficial to reiterate the Doordash policy to all employees, emphasizing that proof of the order should be sufficient for drivers to collect their orders, regardless of language barriers.
