Hello, I received an email on Thursday, April 30, informing me that I had been approved and should claim on Friday. I followed through, anticipating a direct deposit into my account the following Tuesday, but unfortunately, no funds have arrived. When I attempted to claim benefits this Wednesday between 8:30 and 9 am, I was met with a message stating my claim was not payable at this time. As a single mother facing financial struggles due to tax complications and an absence of income since mid-March, this has been immensely frustrating. I understand there are many others facing similar challenges, and despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to reach anyone by phone for assistance. To add to my concerns, I have not received the $[redacted] supplemental income either. I'm uncertain about the next steps to resolve this situation. Thank you.

Hello, this is Afia Yeboah. I recently lost my job due to COVID-19 on March 15. I applied for unemployment on April 1 and was just approved. I claimed my benefits on April 22 and waited for the processing time. However, my claim was not payable on April 29, May 3, and again today. Despite making numerous calls to the office, I have not been able to connect with anyone to resolve this issue. I even left a message but haven't received a response. I am concerned as this is the fourth week my claim is still not payable. Please assist me in resolving this matter. Thank you.

I have been unemployed for 3 weeks now and have not received any communication about my unemployment insurance claim. My status remains "Pending". When trying to certify each week, the system states, "No record of this social security number has been filed." Initially, I could not find an option to add my social security number to my profile, but I eventually discovered how to do so on another New Jersey unemployment website profile. I am wondering when I can expect to receive benefits and if I will receive back pay for the missed weeks beyond the waiting week. It is crucial that I get answers to these questions promptly to avoid eviction from my home. Please reach out to me via email when possible.

I applied for unemployment on March 29. As of May 12, I have not received any funds. I received an email stating I am eligible but not payable at this time. I can't reach an agent to resolve this issue, causing severe anxiety due to financial difficulties. I need assistance from an agent to understand the problem. I am hoping for a prompt response to my query. The system should not be failing me after 60 years of contributions without ever using it before. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Jenisha J. I am experiencing an issue with my weekly unemployment claim. It indicates that I worked on April 3, [redacted], which is inaccurate. My last day of work was on March 31 at Action Temp Agency in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where I only worked for one day. Despite filing for unemployment benefits on March 15, I did not receive any payment until April 4. I have not been working since March 31 and have been relying on my unemployment benefits to cover my expenses such as rent and groceries. I recently received a check from Action Temp Agency dated May 12 for $30.62, which I have not cashed as it is outdated. While I did confirm that I worked and was seeking work when asked by unemployment, I did not work on April 3. Please contact me via email. Thank you.

I have been trying to file a claim for the stimulus package for independent contractors since it was enacted. Despite numerous attempts via phone and online, I have been unable to complete the process. The website keeps loading and not allowing me to proceed. I am facing financial difficulties due to the pandemic, as I fell ill in March and tragically lost my son's mother to Covid-19. As a caregiver for my grandchildren and independent contractor, the pandemic has severely impacted my income. I am unsure if I qualify for regular unemployment or PUA. Any guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. - Mr. C. Lampey

On March 15th, I submitted my claim indicating my eligibility. Unfortunately, it seems to be stuck in the queue. I come from a long line of New Jersey residents, spanning three generations, and reside in Bergen County with my wife and two children. It has been over a month since I last received a paycheck, and I urgently require assistance to release my claim. I have been attempting to reach out to an agent through the phone repeatedly throughout the day but haven't been successful due to the high call volume. I kindly ask for the agency to open up avenues for me to speak to an agent promptly.

My claim status shows as filed with a balance of 0 and a date of 6/19. I have been trying to claim PUA assistance weekly but each time I attempt, it fails. Despite sometimes reaching the end of the process, it prompts me to restart. As a single mother of two relying solely on this support, the financial strain is immense as we have no other income. I urgently need the PUA assistance now. Please expedite the processing of the PUA claim for each week submitted and ensure payment is made promptly. I have a prepaid BoA card from a past claim, but when I called, it indicated the account is closed. If possible, please transfer the payment to this existing card. Thank you.

My claim status shows a $0 balance filed on 6/19. I keep getting emails to claim PUA benefits, but every week I try to do so, it fails. I've been diligent about checking the schedule to log in and claim, but every time I face issues. As a single mom of two kids without any income due to COVID-19, I urgently need my PUA claim processed. I have a prepaid BOA card on file that I hope to use, even though it shows closed when I call, it's not expired. I kindly request that my PUA claims for the past four weeks be processed promptly so I can purchase food and pay my bills. Thank you.

I have not received any communication from NJ Unemployment since I filed my claim a month ago and am unable to certify for weekly benefits. I kindly request for the Unemployment Division to reach out to me regarding my benefit status and guide me through the next steps. I have reached out to Congressmen Donald Payne and Robert Ansaro-Angelo for assistance, but have not yet received any responses.

I applied for my unemployment benefits on 4/12/20 and started receiving my money for about two weeks after that. My last payment was on 4/25, and I haven't received a payment since. I do my weekly claims as I am supposed to and check the status of my claim regularly. Despite calling every day, I have still received no payment. I received mail saying I did everything correctly, but when I claim my money, it says pending and usually, it should be approved within 2 days. I am trying to speak to someone, but no luck. I have been trying to get in contact for three weeks now. I understand the situation, but it's frustrating as I have responsibilities with bills and a child to take care of. My job is still closed due to the virus, and I need this issue fixed. Please contact me at [redacted].

I tried to claim my weekly benefits today after my claim status changed from pending to displaying a weekly benefit rate. The update happened on Sunday, and today, Wednesday, was my designated day for claiming benefits. Unfortunately, after entering my social security number and 4-digit PIN, I received a message saying that my certification couldn't be processed at this time. I attempted to call the number provided but was unable to reach an agent for assistance. The system prompts me to speak with an agent to complete my claim over the phone.

I am reaching out because I applied for unemployment at the end of March, and I have not received any compensation yet. Unemployment reached out and mentioned an issue with the last day I worked. I am attempting to claim partial unemployment but discovered my supervisor made an error on the paperwork. When I call, I am told to call back on Monday, but then told the call volume is high, asking me to call back the next business day, resulting in disconnection. I also tried to claim online last Sunday, but the system was down. My supervisor mentioned HR is waiting for a letter or form from unemployment to fix the problem. I will provide her name, number, and the weeks I have been trying to claim.

Last Thursday, I received a "Notice of Exhaustion of Unemployment Benefits" stating that no further Federal or State assistance is available once benefits are exhausted. On April 27, I spoke with a representative who clarified why my benefits were not being paid and assured me of my eligibility for UI. She explained that I qualify for the 13-week extension after using up my regular UI benefits. She mentioned no additional steps are required on my end, as the extension should kick in automatically. Just need to keep claiming benefits following the SSN# schedule. Finally reaching a helpful human after a month of calls to the UI number was a relief. Hoping to connect with someone who can assist further.

Last Thursday, I received a "Notice of Exhaustion of Unemployment Benefits." The notice informed me that currently, no further Federal or State assistance is available through Unemployment Insurance once benefits are exhausted. On April 27, I spoke with a representative who clarified why my unemployment benefits were not being disbursed. She confirmed my eligibility for UI and reassured me that I would qualify for the 13-week extension once my initial benefits ran out. When I inquired about the next steps after exhaustion, she advised that the extension would activate automatically and instructed me to continue claiming benefits as per the schedule based on my SSN. Interacting with the representative was a relief as I finally received the guidance I needed after a month of unsuccessful attempts to reach assistance through the UI hotline.

Dear Support Team, I hope you are doing well. I am writing to inquire about the delay in my payment for the week and a half that I was laid off back in March. I understand that there might have been some confusion regarding my 401K contributions and pension information. I want to clarify that I do not have a pension and my employer stopped contributing to my 401K when we were laid off. I have already submitted all the necessary paperwork weeks ago and it seems like my case is taking longer to process than others. I have been trying to reach someone over the phone without success, despite the advice from the Newton office to keep trying. It has been frustrating not being able to get through and receive the payment I am entitled to. If possible, could someone from your team please reach out to me to resolve this issue? My contact number is [redacted]. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. Thank you for your help.

I recently applied for unemployment due to having to home school my daughter during the Coronavirus pandemic. My last day at Schumacher Chevrolet of Denville was March 20th as I was asked to stay home and assist with my daughter's education. However, when I applied for benefits, it included information from my previous job that I am unable to correct. I have been attempting to contact someone for over two months now without success. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could reach out to me. Thank you.

On April 8th, I submitted a request for short-term disability. By April 23rd, I received an email stating I qualified for unemployment benefits due to my COVID-related situation. After applying for unemployment, I was granted benefits and certified on April 30th. I am inquiring about retroactively certifying weeks for both NJ Unemployment and the additional Federal $[redacted] payment. My employment ended on March 25, [redacted], and I have not worked since then.
