I'm reaching out regarding a patient, Otis B., currently at the Behavior Unit of St. Catherine Hospital. The staff have shared concerns of the patient possibly being overmedicated with unnecessary medication. Unfortunately, the family has been denied visitation rights until the patient complies with additional medication that brings adverse side effects. The patient has not had regular physician check-ups and is facing consequences for refusing new medication. Additionally, they are unable to communicate with their family about these issues. This neglect of medical needs warrants a halt in insurance payments to the provider due to lack of proper care and potential legal violations. This situation is troubling and requires immediate attention.

I attempted to enroll during the enrollment period by visiting the Highmark store in person in Lancaster, PA three times. On one occasion, I was advised to call instead, which I did repeatedly. I spoke to Emmanual Rodriguez, Rae, Amanda, and Mary today. Unfortunately, all they could offer were apologies. My experience with Highmark has been disappointing and frustrating. Consider looking elsewhere for better service.
