I would like to request my Carfax report. I purchased a [redacted] E [redacted] from Southwest Infiniti, and the mileage indicated on the report was 58,[redacted] at the time of purchase. Since then, there have been fluctuations in the mileage, which I was informed might be due to an odometer issue, possibly a "Roll Back Of The Actual Mileage." I purchased the car in good faith on 10/15/[redacted] and would appreciate a detailed report on the [redacted] E [redacted] Mercedes. As a senior citizen, this matter is very important to me, and I thank you for your assistance.

I am currently in the process of trading my vehicle. However, your report indicates that there was front end damage, which is incorrect. My vehicle has not been in any accidents involving front end damage. This misinformation is significantly impacting the trade-in value, and I urgently need it corrected to proceed with the deal. As a busy entrepreneur managing two businesses, I have limited time for personal matters, and this issue is adding unnecessary stress to my schedule. I kindly request a prompt resolution to this matter. Please contact me directly to address this quickly as I prefer not to engage in prolonged email exchanges. I am also interested in knowing the source of this inaccurate information. Vehicle Identification Number: 7FARW1H95JE006236 Best regards, J. Burttschell

I have been dealing with a case for approximately a month now. The case number is [redacted]5. Carfax made a mistake by reporting one accident on my vehicle as three accidents. It has been a frustrating month with no resolution or response from Carfax. This error has led to me missing out on selling my vehicle twice and purchasing a new one twice. If I don't see progress soon, my next step will be reaching out to some attorney acquaintances for assistance.

I'm Larry S., an insurance agent at Perspective Insurance. I'm reaching out regarding Interstate Farms' [redacted] Mercedes Sprinter Van, VIN #WDZPE7DD9GP302670, which your system shows as a total loss. I have a letter from Nationwide Insurance Company stating the vehicle had hail damage on 6/29/[redacted], repaired at a cost of $15,[redacted].02, and was not deemed a total loss. Can you provide insight on how CarFax obtained the incorrect total loss information? How can we rectify this error on the CarFax report? Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.

Following my father's passing in Springfield, Missouri, my son and I retrieved his truck. While in Missouri, the truck had a mechanical issue, but my son, a mechanic in West Monroe, managed to quickly fix it. Upon our return to Louisiana, we cleaned and prepared the truck for sale. Unfortunately, after potential buyers consulted Carfax, they were informed it had a salvage title. This is perplexing as my mother obtained the original title from the bank. To rectify this misunderstanding, I have photos of the truck to show its excellent condition, and I am eager to send these to Carfax for clarification.

I purchased a [redacted] Subaru WRX STI on 03/02/[redacted] from Central Auto Inc. located at [redacted] Fulton Ave, Sacramento, CA [redacted]. The Carfax given to me indicated minor to moderate accident damage in the car's history. After putting the car up for sale, potential buyers are coming across a different Carfax report stating severe damage from an accident. I'm concerned whether the dealership provided me with false information about the car's history. I want to clarify if there was a mistake in the reports buyers are seeing. I aim to be transparent about the car's background and need to understand the discrepancies. I hope to resolve any misunderstandings regarding the vehicle's history and would appreciate guidance on any steps I can take if I was given inaccurate information by the dealership. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you, Eric D.

I recently obtained my Carfax report for my [redacted] Toyota 4 Runner and found several inaccuracies that led to me missing out on a potential sale. Firstly, the reported address change by the DMV to a Portland address was incorrect, as I have always remained at the same address. This was rectified by the DMV. Secondly, my vehicle was only in one accident in [redacted], resulting in solely body damage, which was fully repaired. All other maintenance, including oil changes and servicing every [redacted] miles, was conducted locally. The claim on the Carfax that the Oregon DMV reported my car as a total loss is misleading, as no such update or title change occurred. I financed my Toyota through One Main Financial, and they currently hold my title until the loan is paid off; it has not been refinanced or moved since [redacted]. I suspect there may be fraudulent activity involved in these discrepancies, and I will be obtaining a copy of my title from One Main Financial for clarification.

I continue to receive overdue notices from CARFAX for an oil change and tire rotation. Despite being retired and driving minimally, I am bombarded with these messages. Subject: Assistance Required for Vehicle Warranty Issue Dear Customer Service, I am in need of urgent assistance with a concerning matter regarding my recent vehicle purchase. I am reaching out about Claim #C[redacted]2 for a [redacted] Toyota 86 Coupe I purchased from Elite Motors in Virginia Beach, VA, on January 5, [redacted]. After encountering mechanical issues post-purchase, the vehicle was inspected at Priority Toyota of Chesapeake Virginia in February [redacted], where it was discovered that significant repairs were needed. These repairs, totaling $4,[redacted].93, were unfortunately not covered under the remaining Drivetrain Factory Warranty due to the engine being replaced at Nalley Toyota of Roswell Georgia in July [redacted] without disclosure on the Carfax Report. Despite my efforts to communicate with Elite Motors and Nalley Toyota, I have not been able to obtain the necessary information to address this issue successfully. I have also attempted to contact Carfax for assistance with the Buyback Protection but faced difficulties submitting the required details online. I have attached all relevant documentation for your review and kindly request guidance on how to proceed with the Vehicle Buyback process through Carfax promptly. Ensuring the safety of my son, as the primary driver of this vehicle, is my top priority. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Thorn Darr

On June 19, [redacted], my Jaguar XK was involved in a 5-car pile-up and was repaired at the BMW collision center after weeks due to expensive and hard-to-get parts. Mike Ledbetter from E-insurance appraised the car and reported to CarFax it was a "TOTAL-LOSS". The report erroneously mentions damage on the front driver-side corner instead of the actual passenger front side. Despite the incident, there was no structural, engine, or transmission damage. I have the Supplement of records for the repairs but unsure how to provide them. The car, with Vin # SAJWA4FB2ELB53478 and License Plate DWL-[redacted], is in use. Please remove the term "total-loss" from your records as it's inaccurate.

I ordered a CarFax report for my [redacted] Jeep Grand Cherokee this morning but I am unable to print it. I texted and requested an email of the report since I couldn't open it. As of now, I haven't received the email or a printed copy. If I don't get the report within 36 hours, I will cancel the order and inform Capital One about the payment. I expect a response from you within the next 36 hours.

My car dealer informed me that my truck had been in an accident, which reduced its value. I disagreed, stating it had never been in an accident and was bought new in [redacted]. Despite this, the car fax indicated a minor rear-end accident in August [redacted], using the VIN 1FtFX1EF0HKE47386. My insurer is Farm Bureau, policy number [redacted], and I reside in Louisville, KY [redacted]. The truck has been stored in my garage for nearly a year, with minimal usage. I want the erroneous damage report removed from my truck's history. If not resolved, I will involve my lawyer to address it, with the expectation that Carfax will cover the costs. I appreciate your assistance in rectifying this matter promptly. William H. Stucker

I recently discovered inaccuracies on my CARFAX report due to an error made by a retired police officer. This error has significantly lowered the value of my vehicle. To rectify this, I need to amend the police report to accurately reflect that the damage to my car was minor, as it was just a small dent on the back bumper. I have obtained proof from ALLSTATE, including photos of the damage, repair estimate, and payout receipt, all indicating that the damage was indeed minor. I have all the necessary documentation from the insurance company to support my claim. However, the police officer who made the mistake is retired, and the report cannot be changed. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue with CARFAX. Thank you for your support.

I recently discovered a Carfax report on my truck with VIN# 1FTFX1EFOHKE47386 indicating mild damage at the rear. I reached out to Carfax customer service, and they confirmed the reported damage. Despite my vehicle not having any damage and my insurance company verifying no claims against it, the false report remains. I am frustrated and looking for assistance in clearing my truck's record. I would like to speak with someone to address how this incorrect information was added and to rectify the situation. Any guidance on resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. My Carfax report indicates that my car has a salvage title due to an issue with the purchase/transfer of ownership in January [redacted]. It states "not actual mileage title issued." When we bought the car in September [redacted], unaware of this, the odometer reading was listed as [redacted] miles on our pink slip. The DMV explained that there might have been an error in recording the mileage before and after the transfer of ownership, deeming it minor. However, because it's been 10 years, the DMV no longer tracks mileage past a decade, rendering it a non-issue. Now that we wish to sell the van, we've noticed this problem on Carfax. The DMV cannot rectify this; only Carfax can. Given the van's history and age at the time of the issue, correcting it should be straightforward. As a modified handicapped van, we want to ensure potential buyers that it's not a lemon. We've taken great care of it for a decade and received excellent value.

I have discovered that Carfax mistakenly listed two accidents on my car's report, which has negatively impacted many other consumers. Despite my efforts to correct this error by submitting the required form twice, Carfax has not resolved the issue and lacks a direct phone line for U.S. citizens. To counteract this misinformation, I plan to obtain a verified history from my insurance company, confirming no accidents during my ownership. This documentation will be used in potential legal action against Carfax for the distress caused. By merely contacting my insurance provider, Carfax can verify the accurate information and update the report accordingly. -Douglas. B. Crews

Hello, Recently, while in the process of purchasing a used car on Facebook, I encountered several of your ads on various auto sales websites. I found the car I wanted and purchased what I believed to be a report from your company to ensure the car had a clean history. However, I was surprised to discover on my credit card statement that I was charged for a more expensive plan than I had agreed to. I am requesting a refund and adjustment of the charges to reflect what I intended to purchase, a report on one car. I am unable to provide an invoice number since I did not receive one. My antivirus software is blocking your support site due to malware concerns. I hope you can locate my purchase using my name and email provided. Thank you, Terry T.

I've been attempting to use your customer contact form, but it keeps indicating that I have an invalid email address, which is the same one I've had for over 25 years. When I tried to create a new account, your website sent a message to my current "invalid" email address. I attempted to fill out the new account form, and once again, it flagged my email as invalid. I would like to address the inaccurate information you have been reporting on my vehicle since the beginning.

I visited Mr. Tire to replace a tire; however, they mistakenly entered the wrong mileage information. Now, as I try to sell my car, I am facing potential issues of odometer fraud, which is not the case. I have obtained a revised odometer reading directly from Monro's corporate headquarters, but Carfax still shows the incorrect information. This discrepancy is causing me to lose the sale of my car, and I urgently need assistance. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the car is WBAUL7C52CVM81883, a [redacted] BMW 128I. Please help me rectify this situation. Thank you, Jeffrey S.

I own a [redacted] Cadillac XLR with VIN number 1G6YV34A[redacted]24. Today, I brought my car for consignment services, and they checked the Carfax report. Unfortunately, there are two significant mistakes on the report. When I bought the car in [redacted], it had 19,[redacted] miles, and now it only has 25,[redacted] miles. I have barely driven the car, mainly to local places like the doctor's office and the store, never out of town. On 01/04/[redacted], during an oil change, they incorrectly noted the mileage as 39,[redacted]. Then, on 05/20/[redacted], Plaza Cadillac recorded the mileage at 40,[redacted], another incorrect entry. The dealer couldn't proceed with consigning my car due to these mileage inconsistencies. As a 70-year-old woman, it's important to me to rectify this to sell the car quickly to get a larger vehicle for my 90-year-old mother who can't easily enter my current car. I'll need assistance to correct these errors promptly. Thank you for your help in resolving this matter efficiently.
